His life is a story of "rags-to-riches" as he came from a poor family who eventually found his passion in business, education, and talent development, which led him into a prosperous life. 

He started his first business, Mzone Training Philippines, in 2012 with only Php2,000.00 in his pocket. No exaggeration. Exactly on August 13, 2012, the said amount was used to register the "Mzone Training Services" in DTI.  Eventually, his friends and family members helped him formalize his training company by providing funds for registering the business in the local government and BIR. 

The first office of Mzone Training was located in the sala of Molmisa's old house in Pasig. Together with an old table, slow-moving laptop, and low-tech mobile phone, Marlon began to serve schools and universities as his first clients.

Each year since 2012, the sales of his business significantly increased. Throughout the journey, Marlon learned sales and marketing the hard way. He had not enough funds to launch marketing initiatives. His business networks were very thin. 

Between 2012 to 2017, Marlon was hired as a business consultant for a corporation that franchised various business brands. He was also able to build top and fast-earning businesses while he was in the service. 

He made the EC Gas Mandaluyong Outlet of Eastern Petroleum a top and model outlet of the EC Gas brand nationwide during his time. He was also hired to be a marketing and branding consultant for various brands from different industries such as general services, construction, health and wellness, and magazine publication.

Since 2017, Marlon started to receive corporate clients including local and multi-national companies. He was invited by corporate and government clients to equip their people's soft skills (some experts call them "essential skills" such as leadership, management, communication, and more).

This experience developed him to be well-rounded in sales and marketing as most of his business ventures and clients became thriving in all areas, not just in sales. In fact, his training company, Mzone Training, has reached a 121% increase in sales in 2019 compared to the previous calendar year. 

During the pandemic, Mzone Training rapidly shifted online and strongly stayed in the industry. In 2021, Marlon proudly announced that his training firm is getting bigger by launching the Azcend Leadership & Consulting Corporation, where he would sit as Chairman and CEO. 

During the pandemic, Marlon also launched their family business known as the Molmisa Ventures Corporation. The said corporation has three brands.

(1) Molmisa Virtual Office, the very first municipal-recognized virtual office in Cainta, Rizal. It aims to help Micro, Small, and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs) legalize their business with a small amount of office rent. 

(2) Molmisa Workspace, a place where organizations and small businesses can use it for their board meetings, corporate training, or corporate photo shoot. 

(3) Speak & Teach PH, a producer of digital learning materials for K-12. The said learning materials are distributed by Boom Learning and TpT to all countries worldwide, especially in the United States, Australia, Canada, and the UK.
