Our current workforce are currently composed of Millennials. However, this generation was known to have an atypical tendency to switch jobs. According to the data from Gallup, Millennials in 2016 had a turnover rate of 21% as compared to roughly 7% of Gen-Xers and other non-millennials.
Nonetheless, Pew Research attempted to further study this phenomenon and compensate for the this difference. It was found that Millennial turnover and employer loyalty are just the same, if not slightly better than the previous generations.
If Millennials are not really job-hoppers as they were depicted to be, then why do companies still experience a high turnover rate from them?

MARLON MOLMISA is an emerging leadership and corporate speaker who has been in training and people development industry since 2012.
Marlon Molmisa is the Founding President of Mzone Training Philippines and Chairman of the Elevaxion Inc., / pronounced as "elevation" / is a Christian non-profit organization that gathers servant-leaders, speakers and influencers from various industries and sectors of the society who spearhead community projects primarily focusing on education, food and health, and youth leadership development.
He a recipient of the SARANGJE Integrity Award of Pasig Student Consumers Cooperative, University Leadership Award and Socio-Civic Award of PLPasig in 2011.
He received a certificate on Social Entrepreneurship and Youth Leadership and currently studying to acquire Masters in Public Management from Ateneo de Manila University - School of Government.
He has pioneered several businesses in various industries such as retail, distribution, gas and oil, health and wellness, publishing, marketing and construction. In 2010, he served as a member of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig Board of Regents.
He is the author of best-selling inspirational books, “Ang Mahalaga Bumangon Ka” and “The Game Plan of the Underdog.” He is also a licensed professional teacher who is now maximizing his purpose in training and public speaking.
